PortfolioImage 1: For this this photo, There is positive and negative space, it looks like it gets darker and darker the more it leads towards the background. the photo was taken at an angle and also has leading lines. It can lead your eyes from right to left. This picture also has texture, the pixels and the "snow" effect on the TV screen gives it a grainy texture. There are two versions of this photo; one in black and white, and one in color (this one). I decided to use the colored one because the pink letters and numbers really stand out from the black and white grain in the back. This photo has a shallow depth of field. when the photo starts to lead in the background, it starts to blur out. people might react to this photo by reminding them of the older tube TVs. TVs today do not have this grainy effect no more, nor the huge pixels, may bring them back to their childhood. Image 2: For this photo, There is line and shape plus pattern going on with the linked fencing. There's also positive and negative space, the fence in the foreground, and the field and other objects in the background. Also, this image has leading lines, your eyes can follow the fence in a zig-zag pattern. there is 2 versions of this image, black and white, and color. I chose the black and white photo because I think it gives the photo have more "character" or, it makes it more "mysterious". this is in a shallow depth of field. I think it has a interesting point of view because the camera was only about 5 inches away from the fence and the camera is looking out to the field. This picture was modified in photoshop, the fencing was darkened, in the original photo the fence was almost completely gray. Image 3: This image can lead your eyes, starting with the middle of the sun, then going along with one of the rays. The point of view was aiming straight on about 7 feet . Image 4: this photo has rule of thirds. it also texture in it too, the grainy texture of the ground and pillars, along with the rust stains on the ground also. It also has depth, it seems almost endless from this point of view, which is interesting to me. the leading lines are the chains that go along the edge of the ledge. I picked the black and white version because it gives this picture a little mystery to it. And it really reminds me of a vintage picture. image 5: This is my most psychedelic picture that I have. there is A LOT of line and shape going on here. the point of view was taken at an angle maybe about 5 feet. there is a foreground, and a background, which we have is a lot of light in the front (the brightest) and less light in the back (most colorful, but dimmer). This was done with a slow shudder speed. the mood that this picture might give out is that it can be, maybe dizzying, but yet amazed. image 6 (my personal favorite) : First off, this definitely has a lot of leading lines going from left to right. each wire over laps each one other going to different streets and houses. then there's that street light on the pole that just gives it even more character. the point of view is looking up at angle, and about 10 feet from the pole itself. I chose the black and white because i thought it was the version that made the photo stand out a little more than the colored. it also provides a feeling of mystery, I had to brighten the picture because it was way too dark without it edited. |
